Trickster Lighting is a work in progress. My goal is to portray a Raven(Trickster) lighting in the presence of others. Hence the head feathers are not aerodynamic, instead these feathers are now being used for expression. The Raven is iconic in many cultures. The title Trickster is given to the Raven by several American Native tribes. Actually this bird tricked me into making this sculpture.I was dreaming of angels when this bird entered and wouldn't leave my resting thoughts.I need to complete him so I can dream of angels again.
AuTrain Wind is a depiction of my favorite bird, the Northern Raven, playing in a North winter wind off Lake Superior. This sculpture is made from hand formed mild steel sheet . The finish is three applications of gun bluing and one coat of oil. The rock base is from AuTrain Township.
Bird is my latest sculpture. Bird is an Eagle working on dinner. Bird is made using recycled stainless steel flatware. The spoons and knifes and their parts are welded onto a mild steel armature. The wing span is a bit over four feet. Bird is a work in progress.
Rhet B Dragon was made using shaped sheet metal MIG welded together. This sculpture is presently being shown at the Alger Heritage Center in Munising Michigan.
