Wine Rack Sculpture

This wine rack is designed to compliment a wood rack for the same patron. It holds standard 450ml. bottles and various other wine bottle shapes. There is around a 10 degree slant toward the cork. Incorporated in the sculpture is a grape vine with the roots at the bottom and climbing up the back of the rack to the top where branches with tendrils and leaves move horizontaly.

Iron Rose Bouquet

This sculpture is all one kind of metal, steel. Making a small rose from steel was a bit of a challenge. The stems are from a political sign wire and the leaf stems are a spring from a piece of furniture. The blue color is a reflection of a cloudless sky.

"Timmy" has evolved and needs a name change . This sculpture is now  "OodooV"

Sometimes a person has to make something different !  This sculpture is part of my new series "Bad Artitude". Actually the skull "Timmy" has been around a while, but "Timmy" is being made into a jester. It's not finished yet. I thought I would share my progress.I am having fun.

Copper and Steel Cattleya Plant Sculpture

This sculpture uses blossoms made using recycled copper from a fire line. The Air roots are made from an old bicycle child carrier,  wire from a political sign, and    springs taken from a piece of discarded furniture. The rest is made from .032 mild sheet steel. I have seven blossoms left to make my next project.

Copper and Steel Orchid Plant

This is my first sculpture in a new series. The copper blossoms were made from a piece of 1 1/2" copper pipe that once was a fire line in a sawmill steam plant. I experimented with fold forming the copper before hammering in the convex shapes. I am very pleased with the result. When I quenched the annealed copper in snow it often took on darker shades of patina along the folded areas. The roots and stems are made from a recycled political sign.
